Thanksgiving
Today, I’m thankful that I’m free from the compulsion to feed my addiction to nicotine. I’m grateful that I finally realized, a little over 6 years ago now, that the choice (whether to feed my addiction or not) is always mine, that an urge is not an imperative, that there are no irresistible urges to smoke.
I’m also thankful that I’ve had the opportunity to help so many other people get free from their addictions, and look forward to helping even more people get free in the future.
I’m also thankful for my family and friends; you make the journey worthwhile.
And I’m thankful for you reading these words; without you, I’m just talking to myself here. ![]()
